SCENE STUDY SEMINARS
You and a scene partner arrive with a memorized scene and Pattie helps you with staging, character development, and relationship exploration.
$10 per participant. Free to observers. Actors sign up one week in advance.

Study and discuss the history of theatre from Greeks to contemporary trends.

THEATRE CRITICISM SEMINAR
Read and discuss current theatre reviews by New York and London critics.
Examine new trends and learn how to become a more discerning audience member.

DIRECTING ACTORS AND ACTION
In this 2 - hour seminar, students learn the basic theories and technique of stage direction. Topics include visual imagination, composition, movement, play analysis, production research, and collaboration with other theater artists. Students learn to explore theatrical texts from the directorial perspective.

ORGANIZING FOR THE CREATIVE MIND
Organizing is not about getting rid of all your stuff or keeping your house “clean.” It is about getting easy access to the things you value the most. Organizing is about having your space and time reflect your beliefs, values, and creativity. This workshop helps you start that process.

BIG PLAY POTLUCK READING SERIES
The Paradise hosts public participation readings of new socially dynamic plays with large casts. Roles are drawn out of a hat by attendees and read aloud. No acting experience required -- just the love of great story telling. You are encouraged to bring food or drink to share. All plays explore adult themes. Cost is free. Donations accepted.
