MISSION STATEMENT

The Paradise Theatre School is a leading educational and cultural force in Jefferson County, Washington, encouraging discipline and theatrical risk-taking in our students, producing uncompromising new plays and adaptations of the highest quality, and addressing the problems and possibilities of our times.  

  The Paradise believes theatre must provoke, shock, and even disturb in order to survive; that it must be argued about in the streets and not easily forgotten like so many familiar, safe, and soothing entertainments.   

  The Paradise is dedicated to the notion that our presentations can be events which create community. Inspired by the Olympic Music Festival, we will focus our energy on bringing about a cultural identity to the unincorporated communities of Jefferson County through service to its residents and visitors.
